A Taste of Colorado was once Denver’s free end-of-summer celebration, traditionally held every year over Labor Day Weekend. In recent years, it has evolved into part of Viva Streets Denver, hosting four weekend events throughout the summer in downtown Denver. The new format still features the festival’s signature music, food, art, and games. Since its inception in 1983, A Taste of Colorado has celebrated the city’s love for great cuisine and music. On each event date, stages and vendors will be set up around Civic Center Park to showcase the vibrant culture of Colorado.

Colorado Mountain Winefest was established in 1992 as the largest fundraiser for the Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology (CAVE). CAVE is a 510c6 non-profit that exists to encourage and support grape growing and winemaking across the state of Colorado. Mountain Winefest has grown into the largest festival in its kind, drawing attendees from across the world and gaining recognition as the Best Wine Festival in the Nation from USA Today. All proceeds from the festival go back into the wine industry during a 4-day Trade Conference organized by CAVE called VinCO. This conference brings top experts in winemaking, grape growing and marketing to the Colorado wine industry to share their knowledge and expertise.

The Golden Beverage Tasting & Chili Cook-Off is presented by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Coors Distributing Company. We recently changed our name to the Golden 'Beverage' Tasting & Chili Cook-Off to be more inclusive of all of the beverages that we offer at the event. Proceeds benefit the Golden Chamber of Commerce programs and St. Jude Children's Hospital. Parfet Park is located on the SE corner of Washington Avenue & 10th Street - just around the corner from historic downtown Golden.

The Best of the West Wing Fest aims to draw attention to the growing food scene in our city and bring people together through the common love of food, competition, and music, something bigger than just Colorado Springs! BWWF is meant to be a fun, community-building festival with something for everyone, where the community gets to crown the best chicken wing! Designed as an all-day affair, the inaugural Best of the West Wing Fest in 2022 featured 13 local wing restaurants competing for the title of the best chicken wing in the West, alongside local small business vendors, local musicians, clean comedians, dancing, and eating competitions that highlighted our diverse city – fun for the entire family!

The Surface Creek Valley is known for its temperate climate, and early settlers took advantage by growing award-winning apples, peaches, and other fruits. In 1909, Cedaredge and other Surface Creek fruit growers entered the National Apple Show, winning more prizes than any other entrants from across the nation. Cedaredge Applefest has been celebrating area fruit growers annually since 1977 on the first full weekend in October, commemorating the fall harvest and rich agricultural heritage of our area.
